So it finally happened.... Lil lost not 1 but 2 teeth at the same time. YIKES. I wondered what this would be like being on 2 blood thinners for her heart and all.... what a mess, it took us over a 1/2 hour to get the bleeding to stop. She cried and cried but in the end when daddy took her to the disney store all was right with the world again. She is also potty- trained!!!! Yeah and yes for the record she is 5 but hey good things come to those who wait right?? I'm sorry to hear about all the hospital visits going on for b and l. It just sucks to spend any amount of time in those places... I hope all ends well with both of you and your families- if not let me know what I could do to help. M bell, did you post that you ran 4 miles straight??????? REALLY????? I ran 1/2 mile the other day and it felt great, i should have kept going.... now I feel like a loser- i did follow that up with a 30 minute hill climb- the run was my warm-up. I used to run all the time before I had the kids and I would like to start again. I was told about a book called Couch potato to 5k or something like that, it's a week by week training guide, sounds good huh? Well ladies I'm out of steam and it's time to put the kids to bed. Happy thought s to you all, Tara
Oh yeah, if you are smart and I know you all are :) Adele live at Soho needs to put on all your ipods...

Congrats on the teeth. OMG, I would never have even thought about the blood thinners. Yikes!!
So, B has it worse than we do for hospitals. My trip to L's old stomping ground is just for the follow up on H and initial neuro for W. And as far as I'm concerned, that's all the visit will be...But with H we are finding you just never know.
Running, ugh. My knee hurts just thinking about it. I really should get back on the treadmill though. H is old enough now that he should know better than to stick his fingers on it when it's running (you know, that whole survival of the fittest thing...). The big issue is we need to tip it on it's side every time before D uses it. For some reason H must think it's coin operated and is constantly sticking change between the deck and the belt...(maybe I should be looking into the Darwin awards in his future...)
I have totally heard of the couch to 5k book!! I hear it's good stuff!
I usually run in intervals, and used to run for 5 minutes walk for 2 until I reached 60min. (the trainer said that intervals burn more calories and build better endurance than just continuous running?)
Now I run 1 mile and then walk for 5 minutes, and do it until I hit 5 or 6 miles.(it sounds like a lot, but that walking break really helps!) Today I just thought I would see how long I could run. For the record I felt like I was going to die or puke or both die and puke when I finished!!! It will be awhile before I do that s*** again!!!! I tried that hill climber...I thought my calves were going to burst into flames...those hills are not for the weak! Yikes!
Oh yeah, Oh yeah....well when you guys were running I was devouring Girl Scout cookies! My thighs are bigger than your thighs. Wait, that's not a good thing, huh? Darn.
YEAH for Miss L! I'm calling you when A loses his teeth. I don't "do" teeth.
Thanks in advance for driving me to the ghetto next week! Safety in numbers!
That is great that L lost two teeth. She matches G for amount of teeth lost, except hers fell out and G had hers pulled because they would not fall out and her adult teeth came in behind the baby ones. She has not lost anymore teeth since then and she is turning seven next week. I picture her as one of those kids that looses all at once and looks like she doesn't take care of her teeth and they all fell out from neglect. I am so happy that L is on her way to being a super big girl. Potty trained, walking, tooth fairy visits, next it will be bike riding, dancing in her bedroom and endless phone calls from girlfriends.
